The original Patti Smith bandmember and former Iggy Pop axman, Ivan Kral will join Skew Siskin on stage for their concert in Berlin as part of the Overkill – Motorhead tour on Monday, Dec.3rd.

“We’re totally psyched that this is finally happening. During November and December Ivan is on some kind of bizarre punktour in the eastern part of Europe just for the fun of it and we found out that he has some offdays when we play Berlin. So we invited him to swing over to Berlin and share the stage with us. I mean, he has a song on our current album “Peace Breaker” and now I can’t wait to play it with him live. He really knows Rock’n Roll and he’s one of those players you can create this hardedged Rock ‘n Roll guitar sound with”, says Skew Siskin’s guitarist Jim Voxx.

As a fixture in the 70's New York rock scene, Ivan played with many notables, including Debbie Harry/Blondie, Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, glam band Luger, David Peel and the Lower East Side, John Cale, Chris Spedding, Band of Outsiders and various underground artists.

Some of Ivan's work with the Andy Warhol scene are captured in the films "The Foreigner", "Subway Riders", "Night Lunch", "Unmade Beds", and "Blank Generation".

Ivan co-wrote with Patti Smith for her debut album, Horses, and remained with her for 4 albums, and over 15 tours. In 1980, he collaborated with Iggy Pop for 2 albums, and 10 tours which included Glen Matlock of Sex Pistols, and Brian James of the Damned.

In 1982 Ivan shed his punk label, and wrote songs with Babys singer, John Waite, including the hit, "Every Step of the Way". Other works from this era included music for the Barry Levinson film, "Diner", recordings by U2, David Bowie, and a song "Ce soir et le Soir" for France's Telephone.

this time I think we really hit the bulls eye with our self produced CD "Peace Breaker". We could not be more grateful for all of the good reviews and praise we`ve gotten so far. But it gets even worse. Mysteriously one of our PEACE BREAKER CD landed on the desk of the German Concert Promoter MLK -CONCERT AGENCY, while listening to it, they all started sobbing uncontrollably, closed the office and went home.

Things always happen when you least expect them, because the next day we were invited to be the guest of OVERKILL and MOTÖRHEAD, to beef up the chaos in some German cities. Of course we said yes because we always thought that chaos and Skew Siskin went hand in hand. The opening band will be VALIENT THORR from the USA. Therefore there will be 4 bands to knock you upside the head evening by evening. The shows will start around at 7.30 p.m., so be there early you don`t want to miss one moment of it!

In addition to this, we`ve booked two of our own club dates in Berlin and Munich

so nobody runs amok. What else would we do on off days?

Diesmal haben wir wohl mit unserem neuen selbstproduzierten Machwerk "Peace Breaker" voll ins Schwarze getroffen. Soviel Lob treibt uns die Verlegenheitsblässe ins Gesicht. Und es kommt noch schlimmer. Anscheinend ist irgendwie ein Exemplar im Büro der MLK KONZERTAGENTUR gelandet und beim Anhören lagen sich alle ungehemmt schluchzend in den Armen und machten Feierabend. Jedenfalls teilte man uns , quasi als last Minute-Entscheidung, unverholen mit, daß wir als Gast von OVERKILL und MOTÖRHEAD mithelfen sollen, einige deutsche Städte ins Chaos versinken zu lassen. Das haben wir dann auch gerne zugesagt, denn wir finden, daß Chaos und Skew Siskin schon immer zusammenpassten. Als Opener werden sich VALIENT THORR aus USA bei euch vorstellen. Somit werden euch insgesamt 4 Bands Abend für Abend hemmungslos die Rübe wegknüppeln. Das Ganze geht wahrscheinlich um 19:30 los, also rechtzeitig da sein, um nichts zu verpassen !

Zusätzlich haben wir noch zwei eigene Clubgigs in Berlin und München mit eingebaut damit an den Offtagen keiner auf dumme Gedanken kommt. Was soll man auch sonst an Offtagen machen.
