We announce the addition of bassist Jan Le Grow to the group’s ranks. Jan has the right attitude and fits in the band both musically and personally.
During the search for the right bass player we re-released some of the cover songs we`ve recorded in the past.
We`ve always been keen to cover some of the all time great classic tunes. Especially “Young Man” was a real challenge to cover.

So far, we have been very fortunate to play with some good friends and great bassists helping the band for which could only be temporary periods, because every so often we were interrupted by various private circumstances. But now the time has changed and we have a lot of work ahead of us. We therefore look forward to having a long-term rock ‘n’ roll / classic rock bass player, preferably in the Berlin area. Bislang hatten wir das große Glück mit sehr guten Freunden zu spielen, die allesamt großartige Bassisten sind und die uns hier und da aushalfen. Leider kamen
des öfteren Situationen dazwischen, die uns daran hinderten zusammen weiter zu machen. Das hat sich jetzt geändert und wir haben sehr viel Arbeit vor uns. Daher suchen wir ab sofort einen

When the doorbell rang twice at the Skew Siskin headquarters last Saturday, 18/06/2011, it was none other than man himself, Lemmy Kilmister! And as he was getting into polishing up his unreleased solo album at Skew Siskin’s recording studio, the session was interrupted by a visit to the Foo Fighters gig at the “Wuhlheide” venue in Berlin.
You can imagine the lights blinking out of control when Jim, Nina and Lemmy got together with Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) backstage. Here’s a picture of Nina with two of the heaviest rockers in show business:
As Nina describes the show:
“The Foo Fighters concert was more than an inspiring trip. They played around three hours, and Lemmy appeared as guest vocalist for a song (Probot’s “Shake Your Blood”) which was celebrated by the crazy Berlin crowd yelling ‘Lemmy, Lemmy, Lemmy!!!’ for about a minute. It was one Hell of a night that had me glowing with excitement!”
These days, Nina and Jim are very busy recording the forthcoming Skew Siskin album. It was originally scheduled for a 2010 release but Nina became involved in sorting things out regarding her mother’s death (emptying the flat, paperwork, taxes a.s.o.) and there was also the relocation of Skew Siskin’s office. Anyway, to cut a long story short, most importantly: the new Skew Siskin album is in the pipeline — and watching Foo Fighters together with Lemmy was an electrifying motivator!

1967, May 15th Jimi Hendrix played his first concert in Germany at the Huxleys Neue Welt venue in Berlin.
Jim Voxx has the honor, amongst other fine artists, to play a tribute concert (only Jimi Hendrix songs) today May 15th, 2011
at the Huxley`s Neue Welt Berlin (yes, the very same venue) as a special guest.
Starting time is 8 p.m.
